An artist’s book that dissects the human form and makes it into that of a book’s, created for my senior thesis. How much can an organic form be modified until it is no longer considered living? Is it possible to make an inanimate object into something alive and breathing?
I have always had a personal fascination with the human body's ability to be completely modified through one's own means, a form malleable to one's whims but still distinctly a living and breathing organism. Being a transgender individual who does not "pass" to anyone around me, I use the personification of art forms to hopefully express my desire for change in a form but still remaining undeniably "human".
